Brooke Street Memorial

This memorial has been erected in memory of those members of the Durban Jewish Community buried in the Brooke Street Cemetery including those who died in the Glencoe Train Accident in 1895.

Support Us

As the Durban Chevra Kadisha relies on donations for the running and upkeep of the three Durban cemeteries. Please would you assist and consider making a donation in support of the amazing work undertaken.

Holocaust Memorial

The Ohel is dedicated to the memory of the six million Jews who were murdered in the Holocaust including one and a half million children. The Union of Jewish Women have created an avenue of trees in honour of the children who perished.

Stellawood Renovations

Repairs to the Stellawood Cemetery are in progress after severe storms led to landslides. Over the years the erosive sand in the ground, known as Berea red, had become extremely unstable.
